Your team gets a name, a few jokes and a card with all eight people. You can edit the card, save it as an image or share it.
When the card appears, the game saves it at a public link with a lab number. Anyone with the link can open it and answer with one change: which pick would you change?
Spend less than your point limit and the card shows a Bootstrapped badge with the points you saved.
Why real people?
Each card points to real work.
Open a card to read what the person built or published, with sources. The roster is a small set of public names. Much research comes from students, little-known researchers and teams that are not in this game.
The game predicts nothing.
The 127 people here are not a list of the best scientists. Points and jokes cannot tell you who will make the next breakthrough, or whether these people would work well together.
A parody, not an endorsement.
Frontier Draft is a fan-made parody game. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone in it. Cards describe public work. Points are provisional settings for fictional recruitment difficulty and opportunity cost. They are never a measure of ability, quality, prestige or future impact. They are not salary estimates or claims about anyone’s willingness to move.
The jokes are about the team you picked. A joke about a disagreement refers to a public exchange.

Something to change?
If you appear in this game and want your card removed, message me. Within 48 hours I’ll take it out of new drafts and block any published lab page you name. Old links and copies that people saved can still show it. You don’t need to give a reason. Message @falseconjecture on X to remove a card, correct a work description, question a point value or comment on the rules.
Everyone here is a public professional figure, and cards describe documented public work only. They include no private people, minors, rumours or personality claims. A company name describes documented work or a founding role, not current employment.
